Treorchy Comprehensive School

On Thursday 13th October, 26 Year 12 and 13 Art students visited Cardiff Bay as part of their cultural day out. The pupils were split into two groups and throughout the day, they had the opportunity to work with a professional artist in The Crafts in the Bay Gallery. They also visited many smaller galleries and museums around the bay, and saw a variety of artwork, ranging from outdoor sculpture, to photography and contemporary graffiti art. All pupils enjoyed seeing a range of Art and Craft work which has helped them forge links to their own Art practice. The work produced and advice given in the workshop has been invaluable in helping pupils push their projects further. We look forward to seeing the final pieces for this project.
