Treorchy Comprehensive School

Thirteen players from Treorchy Comprehensive School have been selected for the Rhondda Under 15 Rugby squad. The players were presented with their blazers and ties earlier this week by Cardiff Blues, Wales and British and Irish Lions star Leigh Halfpenny at the Miskin Manor.

The Rhondda squad is made up of 26 players from the six comprehensive schools in the Rhondda and thirteen of these are from Treorchy Comprehensive School (make up half the squad) which is an outstanding achievement. At the presentation evening, Leigh Halfpenny gave a fascinating insight into the world of a professional rugby player and spoke in depth about the dedication and sacrifices he has made along his journey to becoming one of the most recognisable players in the game across the world.

Congratulations to all boys and good luck for the forthcoming fixtures.

Players from Treorchy comprehensive are, Zak Rimes, Coby Green, Frazer Thomas, Aaron Payne, Alex Fisher, Ben Warren, Ethan Dunning, Josh Oakley, Callum Wilson, Logan Lagier, Geraint Pugh, Liam Jones and Grant Smith.
