Treorchy Comprehensive School

Two pupils of Treorchy Comprehensive School have had great success in scooping two of the awards. Kirby Kent won the Leader's Special Category and Emily John enjoyed success in winning the over all Secondary School category.

This is a tremendous accolade for the school, the parents and especially the pupils themselves. The winning card is now being produced as the Mayor's Charity Christmas card 2009 and will be widely available to buy throughout the County Borough.

The entries were judged by a panel that included the Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Council Leader, Cabinet Members for Children and Young People and the Chief Executive.  The winners were invited to a reception with the Mayor where they each received a framed print of their work, before being invited to join the panel for some lunch and refreshments.
