A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Dear Parent/Carers

This is a very difficult time for us all and I think for our young people in particular. I want to reassure you that, despite the students not actually being on site, we are committed to doing everything possible to support and motivate our young people. Their happiness, wellbeing and education is at the heart of everything we do. Treorchy Comprehensive School prides itself on being a ‘community school committed to excellence’.

It is a pleasure and privilege to present the school’s website to you and I hope the information presented will give you a real insight into the services that Treorchy Comprehensive School provides for our students, parents and cares  and the wider community.

Our school serves the Upper Rhondda and there are currently approximately 1600 students educated at the school, over 350 of whom are in the Sixth form.

The ethos of the school is firmly embedded in our core values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY and ASPIRATION. An extensive and flexible curriculum, excellent pastoral care and a rich and diverse programme of enrichment activities ensure that all our pupils thrive within a caring and supportive atmosphere.

We extend an equally warm welcome to current students and their families, potential new students and their families and anyone else interested in seeing what we do and how we do it at Treorchy Comprehensive School.

In safer times, I look forward to meeting you all and welcoming students and visitors back on site. Until then please contact the school for more information on our school.

Take care and keep safe,

Jennifer Ford

As a celebration of the end of their time here in Treorchy Comprehensive School, and in the absence of our usual end of year whole school performances, our amazing Year 13 singers have recorded these two songs. Please click on the link and enjoy!
